Asus Eee PC 900 dauerhaft mit deutscher Tastaturbelegung

Ich hatte ein bisschen Probleme auf meinem Asus Eee PC 900 (20 GB Linux) die Tastatur von Englisch auf Deutsch zu stellen. Die Tastaturbelegung (keyboard layout) ist englisch, da es diesen Rechner noch nicht offiziell in Deutschlang gibt. Jetzt habe ich die beiden Pakete gefunden die für die Umschaltung benötigt werden.
So klappt es:
- mit “CTRL ALT T” ein Terminal öffnen
- dann “sudo bash” auf root umstellen
- apt-get update
- apt-get install keyboardmap-de-de
- apt-get install keyboardmap-dialog-de-de
- restart
Und schon gibt es einen Button mit dem man zwischen Englisch und Deutsch umstellen kann. Über meine Vorfreude habe ich ja bereits auf uteles Blog geschrieben, ebenso über die ersten Erfahrungen.

I think I need a little more information to help you changing the keyboard layout.
My description tells you how to change the keyboard layout with the given Xandros Linux system from Asus.
So if you want to use a English keyboard layout you have t apt-get the en or uk version.
Currently I run a Gentoo Linux system on my Asus Eee 900 PC.
So in Gentoo I have to emerge the keyboard program. Today, in KDE4 this is not a big issue.
Can you tell me which operating system you use?
Then I can try to give you a better description how to change the keyboard layout.Greetings
